At her first Nationals in 1996 she took a Third Place from thry large 9-12 Class - fully out of coat AND in full blown season! Needless to say, Iona has the presence and conformation to win. Her first time out in the AKC ring she came home with a reserve win but followed this up the next day by going Best of Breed / Best of Winners for her first points! She has continued to win ever since - whether it's points or peoples hearts!

In early 1997, Iona started her training in competitive obedience with a local yet well known and highly respected trainer. Continuing in her mother’s footsteps, Iona has been a dream to train on stock as well as in obedience. She seems to have read all the books and knows ahead of time what it is that I want. She is incredibly biddable and this has passed over to her work on sheep. There she is a dynamo! True to Aussie nature, Iona is a great fetcher that rates her stock well and does not over work them!

Due to a back injury though, Iona has not resumed training in Obedience or on stock and is shown selectively.

Iona is back in the Ring and looking GREAT! She also has taken her First Reserve ASCA to a Major (in the Intact class). Iona has been selectively shown ASCA with multiple class wins.
